Kitchen layout and design is all based around with four major equipments or spaces.

  1. Fridge
  2. Kitchen Sink
  3. Cutting Board
  4. Cooktop/Oven

I don't have to tell you what each functions do... but what's more important is to understand how us humans move between these functions.

By understanding how people move, we can now start look at the kitchen and begin laying these functions according to it's most fluent order.

Keep it simple, but there are more to learn to master the basic layout of the kitchen, next I will be blogging about the connection between the dining and kitchen that can also effect the layout.
