Picking a dining table is quite tricky...
let's say you are looking to buy one and you got the size of the dining space say.... 3.5m x 3.5m. What size does it suit? And what would be the maximum people of diners can we have in this room?
Before we actually look at this example let's have a look at the minimum spacing required for each person to eat comfortably without bumping in to a person next or in in front of you. I met many people who eats while their elbow is up and touching my shoulder... it's f***ing annoying sorry lol
Remember... people do move around the dining area.
As you can see, people move around the table and for not giving sufficient circulation can lead to accidents that can lead to serious injuries.
Now that we understand the minimum required circulation space, lets get back to the example of 3.5 x 3.5m dining space.
By saying that, 2600 x 1400 table is the absolute maximum size that would recommend for this example. I personally still recommend 1000~1200 mm open circulation space through out wall and any obstacles.
Master this, and you will never come across with over sized table... I tell ya... these tables aren't cheap...
Next let's take a look at all the common table sizes to understand how many people can be occupied based on the different shape and sizes.
